Job description

Red Wing Shoe Company is accepting applications from quality candidates, holding a Class A Commercial Driver's License, who hold want a predictable schedule working in our warehouse with light local trailer driving. This position requires attention to detail, quality work as well as efficiency. Employees may work in team settings and independently.

This opportunity is for Night Shift: Monday through Thursday 3:00pm to 12:00am, Friday 11:00am to 5:00pm.

Pay Rate: $26.92/hour (This rate includes base rate; 2nd Shift premium and CDL "Class A" premium). 

There is an additional $1.00/hour if you have your HazMat endorsement (preferred). This is a union position that offers competitive wages and benefits.

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) 
  • Ability to pass and stay compliant with DOT requirements, which includes a DOT physical and drug screenand you must be at least 21 years old. 
  • Must pass random DOT drug and alcohol testing as required and register with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association (FMCSA) Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, if you have not already done so as part of the pre-employment process. 
  • Will need to complete an online defensive driver course within two weeks of employment
  •  Ability to lift/carry/toss up to 55 pounds
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, lift and additional movement as required by specific jobs

 ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES

  • Previous Class A commercial driving experience
  • Hazardous Materials endorsement preferred
  • Forklift experience and certification
  • Experience in a light industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred
