Job Description
As part of the Foundation’s E-philanthropy team, the Web Specialist is responsible for deploying web engagement technologies in support of the Foundation’s fundraising and communications efforts. The position is expected to take on complex web and email projects with a high level of autonomy and will be responsible for the development and execution of email and digital strategies as well as providing customer service, consultation, and insights.
The Web Specialist will manage multiple projects simultaneously and show proactive leadership in meeting specified goals and deadlines designed to improve the effectiveness of Foundation projects and communications. The Web Specialist will also be skilled in analyzing the effectiveness of communications and campaigns, seek opportunities to enhance the donor experience across mediums and be open to supporting additional digital marketing tools as needed.
Experience
- One to five years of professional experience managing web and/or digital campaigns using a content management system (CMS)
- Proven experience creating content for web
- Experience applying web design and web marketing principles
- Experience using web analytics tools. Adobe analytics experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong communications skills
- Experience in marketing or communications, preferably in fundraising or healthcare
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript
- Experience working with bulk email campaigns, marketing automation tools, and managing content
- Strong storytelling and graphic design skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification or work experience

- Demonstrated creative self-starter with strong work ethic, team orientation and commitment to quality
- Proficiency with one or more content management systems
- Experience working in digital marketing and providing analysis of outcomes as well as recommendations for continual improvement
- Experience effectively setting priorities, achieving goals and measuring results
- Demonstrated website coordination acumen and proficiency with one or more content management systems; must have a supporting project portfolio
- Experience coordinating a variety of concurrent projects and production timelines simultaneously
- Excellent writing, grammar, and graphics skills, along with the general ability to communicate clearly in oral, visual and written form
- Working knowledge of data and web analytics and creating reports on outcomes
- Experience building effective partnerships and collaborations with individuals and teams to advance work
Job Responsibilities
- Designing, creating, and maintaining websites, forms, intranet content, and other web-based content as assigned.
- Ensuring that all communications adhere to Children’s branding guidelines and provide an engaging and effective donor experience.
- Providing stakeholders with consultation regarding how best to deploy digital strategies.
- Collaborating with peers and stakeholders to complete responsibilities and assignments
- Defining basic project scopes and coordinating projects and with minimal oversight.
- Creating analytics reports, evaluating outcomes of web efforts, and making recommendations in collaboration with the team.
- Occasionally providing content support and coordination as needed for other team members.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
