Job description
The purpose of this position is to administer the Plant/rBU strategy, fulfill customer requirements by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and promote continuous improvement of value stream performance to achieve operational excellence (KPI/KPR).
Leadership & Strategy Management
Derive VS strategy from Plant/rBU/PSIN/IPN strategies to Lead improvement in VS performance & stakeholder KPI/KPR. Contribute to developing future strategies with Plant Management, IPN & BU. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build shared goals towards meeting targeted objectives.
Customer demand fulfilment: Type wise delivery fulfilment; PPC as per BP
Operations Management
Understands stakeholder needs & expectations from VS, track & review its fulfilment through SQCD targets. Assess VS operational performance trends, efficiency of resources & business process to enable a PDCA approach and collaboratively achieve defined standards & maturity level.
Value stream KPIs: Safety incidents, CRI, iDC, Cost/Pc, OEE, VAO, Productivity, Inventory
Change Initiatives & Continuous Improvement
Drive a systematic approach (SCIP) to review E2E value stream wrt customer, stakeholder & value stream insights to cross-functionally raise maturity & achieve operational excellence. Organise implementation & sustenance of change initiatives deployed e.g. Lakshya,VCS, Agile, i4.0 to continuously improve.
S-CIP projects fulfilment, BPS Maturity improvement, RPP
Business Process Management
Ensure workflows & communications (CI, AVR, ECR, Suggestions, escalations etc.) are processed promptly & comprehensively to efficiently run business processes. Manage & control all value stream related expenditures to adhere to Business plan.
Adherence to compliance in Internal and External Audits
Contingency Planning & Compliance
Foresee risks and impediments to operations continuity, takes decisions on resolution/escalation. Adhere to all norms, statutes & standards related to quality, safety & working standards within the department.
No line stoppage and business impact to the customer
Employee & Industrial Relationship
Drive a process to regularly communicate as well as proactively engage with employees (BCA, M&SS, T&T) to enable a positive work environment. Manage employee grievance to safeguard interests of workers & management. Contribute insights on IR to Plant Management / HR for policies reviews.

Organise & Lead Work group meetings, Yokoten meetings among IPN plants as per BU strategy with focus on Operational excellence.

Management Communication
Review & communicate up to date data to management/IPN periodically as well as lead and represent Value stream development during line walks or visits to provide information for management to make vital business-related decisions in order to meet the high-level goals.
Review and steering SQCD target
Education:
- Bachelors degree in engineering in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical or Industrial engineering
- Masters in Engineering in relevant streams (desirable)
Experince:
- 10-12 years of experience in manufacturing relevant fields
- 6+ years in manufacturing domain
Knowledge:
- Competent in Leadership, Business, People and Operations Management.
- Advanced knowledge in Regulatory & Organizational Management systems & guidelines.
- Advanced knowledge of related Product & application.
- Advanced knowledge about Lean manufacturing tools, IT tools , Business & Manufacturing practices
- Advanced knowledge on manufacturing cost structure ( Finance ) & Supply chain management
Functional Skills:
- Competent in effective communication across levels, Advanced skills in problem solving methods like 8D, Shainin, Fault tree analysis,
- Competent skill in using agile methods like Scrum, Continuous Improvement methodology etc.
- Basic to Advanced skill in SAP, digitization topics like Data analytics, i4.0 solutions, AI applications etc.
- Competent in Employee relationship & Conflict management, Building Collaboration and motivation across stakeholders, balancing Union and management expectation.
Note: TP1 candidates are preferred.
