This is an onsite role and will be part of the Manufacturing & Operations Team in our Hemet, CA location.

This is a Day Shift position, Monday through Friday. Hours are 6am – 2:30pm PT. Overtime and weekends may be required.

This is an indoor industrial work environment with good ventilation, adequate lighting, and low to moderate noise levels.

PPE required: Supplied Air Respirator, Half Mask Respirator, Hearing protection required at ALL times – foam plugs or earmuffs, gloves, safety shoes with metatarsal protection built in, safety glasses, cooling vest, body harness for fall protection head coverings and sleeves.

Reporting to the Focus Factory Supervisor, Manufacturing & Operations, the Blaster/Coater :

Prepares metal surfaces to receive epoxy coating or paint.

Applies coating/paint to a specified standard.

Bakes to harden finish or dries/cures parts to specifications.

In this role, a typical day will look like

Operates sandblasting machines for removal of scale, flux, corrosion, and dirt from metal parts by use of abrasives made through a hose at high velocity by compressed air. Use of SAR respirator required.

Operates powered industrial truck (forklift) to load and unload material.

Uses hand tools, hoist/crane, power tools and pneumatic tools as a process of job junction.

Brush paints, spray paints or dips a variety of parts or products in coating vehicles. Use of half-mask respirator required.

Bakes coated parts in oven to preheat workpieces, and to harden finish.

Dries/cures parts in accordance with specifications.

Identifies and reports defective parts.

Pre inspect work area for safety.

Observes and follows all safety regulations and company policies.

The essential requirements of the job include

High School Diploma or equivalent.

It would be an asset if you have

Experience painting metal parts or components.

Safely operated powered industrial trucks (forklifts)

Excellent communication skills with ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, specifications, blueprints, or sketches.

Operate hand tools, hoist/crane, power tools and pneumatic tools.

Quality conscious with the ability to meet efficiency goals.

Detail-oriented and able to maintain a high level of ownership and accuracy on all work activities.

Ability to work in a positive manner with other associates within cell areas and develop and maintain strong working relationships across teams and subject areas.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $20.00 - $22.00 USD per hour.
