Job purpose

Manager, Resource Development will lead multiple, simultaneous resource development programs ensuring alignment with Maaden’s growth strategy and business plans. Reporting to the Director, Resource Development, oversee all aspects of work and deliver the timely data to support projects at varying study phases. Foster collaboration among team members to ensure socially and environmentally responsible work programs. Monitor performance, revise programs as needed, and apply technical standards to ensure safe, productive operations that support resource estimation and development planning.

Key Accountabilities

  • Be an active safety leader.
  • Establish, lead, and drive resource development work programs to achieve the business strategy, targets, KPIs.
  • Develop drilling strategies, plans, and budgets in collaboration with the Director of Resource Development and other stakeholders, emphasizing project advancement in line with Maaden’s high level project schedule.
  • Provide the technical framework, guidance, and peer review of resource development targets to the site-based team in achieving program objectives.
  • Lead continuous improvement in understanding of the economic geology of identified target areas.
  • Interpret drilling results and provide geological insights and recommendations to support resource estimation, optimization, and development planning decisions.
  • Support creation of a 5-year overview of resource development work, resource growth delivery forecast, budget, and project pipeline advancement for development projects aligned to Maaden’s growth strategy and business plan.
  • Create and budget a detailed 2-year resource development work program to deliver business commitments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to confirm work plans are socially and environmentally responsible and Lands management through application of governance standards.
  • Track performance against established KPIs, provide regular updates and analysis.
  • Ensure collaboration between technical teams, study and supporting cross functional teams, and business partners to solve execution challenges and leverage synergies.
  • Update and validate programs in response to new data and economic, social, and environmental conditions. •

Apply and govern the technical standards to confirm safe operations, productivity and drive standard methodology.

Minimum Qualification, Experience and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Professional Degree in Geological Science or related degree

Minimum Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in both exploration and resource development projects within the mining industry.
  • Familiarity with KSA mining, minerals, and exploration sector (optional)
