IT Manager (financial industry)

Due to the continuous growth of our company, we are looking for new talent to join our team and support cooperation with our clients. We are currently seeking an IT Manager who will support us in planning, coordinating, and delivering implementation and development projects for clients in the financial sector.
In this position you will
- build and maintain strategic client relationships by understanding the client’s business context, identifying new needs and initiatives, managing expectations and escalations, and ensuring the delivery of tangible business value,
- manage IT projects end-to-end, from the concept and analysis phase through implementation, deployment, and ongoing solution development,
- support the sales process by preparing proposals, solution concepts, and project estimates,
- bridge clients’ business needs with the team’s technical capabilities by conducting discovery sessions and workshops, and translating requirements into project scope and deliverables,
- be accountable for the financial performance of projects and/or a portfolio of projects.
- implement and enhance best practices within the software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality delivery and team efficiency,
- take overall responsibility for IT team management, fostering employee motivation and engagement, supporting competency development, planning career paths, conducting performance and competency reviews, and recommending promotions and salary increases,
- participate in recruitment activities and manage team resource allocation and task assignments.
We are looking for you, if you
- have at least 5 years of experience in managing IT projects within the financial services industry,
- have experience leading end-to-end IT initiatives and projects, including managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, escalations, and stakeholders,
- have delivered measurable business value through IT projects and can provide specific examples of results achieved, crisis situations that you successfully turned into stronger client relationships, and solutions whose value was not obvious from the outset.
- are capable of effectively managing projects using Scrum, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies,
- have hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project,
- have experience supporting pre-sales activities in collaboration with Sales teams,
- possess strong communication, organizational, and team management skills,
- can effectively analyze risks and make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment,
- demonstrate a high level of autonomy, ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering agreed outcomes and driving initiatives to completion,
- are able to communicate in English at a minimum B2 level,
- nice to have: PMI, PRINCE2, and/or AgilePM certifications.
