Job description

B2B commerce is evolving fast and Sana Commerce is built to lead it. We help manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers create seamless digital buying experiences that strengthen customer relationships and drive real business growth.

We're on a mission to become the go-to commerce platform for B2B companies navigating complexity at scale. That means constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in ERP-integrated commerce and building a team bold enough to get us there.

At Sana Commerce, you'll have real ownership, work on problems that matter, and help shape where B2B commerce goes next.

The Finance Director leads the overall finance function, owning financial strategy, governance, and performance across the organization. This role is expected to be approximately 75% hands-on, with direct involvement in financial planning, performance analysis, cash management, reporting, and operational finance activities, while also providing leadership across the wider finance team. The role ensures alignment between accounting and finance planning and control, enabling accurate reporting, strong controls, and data-driven decision-making in a multi-entity SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

Finance Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and execute financial strategy aligned with company growth
  • Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team on key decisions while personally driving financial analysis and recommendations
  • Ensure alignment between financial performance and business objectives through direct involvement in planning and execution
  • Own the finance technology stack, including systems strategy, automation roadmap, data integrity, and the application of AI to improve finance processes, controls, and decision support
  • Lead or oversee finance systems and data capabilities, with accountability for finance tooling and resources

Governance & Control

  • Own financial policies, controls, and compliance frameworks across the Group
  • Ensure strong audit, tax, and regulatory compliance across all entities and jurisdictions

End-to-End Finance Accountability

  • Hold direct accountability for core finance processes (O2C, P2P, R2R, Reporting, Tax), remaining closely involved in day-to-day execution where needed
  • Ensure clear ownership and smooth execution across finance teams while personally stepping into priority issues and critical deliverables
  • Own group tax compliance across all entities, including transfer pricing, withholding tax, corporate income tax, and innovation box compliance, ensuring robust governance and timely filing.

Holding Company support

  • Provide holding company support across the Group, including VPB and Innovation Box compliance.
  • Lead transfer pricing activities for the HoldCo, including the model, Master File, and alignment with other group companies.
  • Oversee intragroup loans, consolidated financial statements, and external audit coordination.
  • Manage corporate administration requirements, including the UBO register, organizational chart, dividend tax filings, and coordination of related-party documentation.
  • Serve as the global end-responsible owner for banking and payments.

Performance & Planning

  • Personally lead forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and scenario planning
  • Take direct ownership of OPEX, cash flow, working capital, and liquidity management
  • Drive KPI management with revenue and technology teams across CAC, CLTV, and gross margin through hands-on analysis and business partnering

Leadership

  • Lead the Head of Accounting and Head of Financial Planning and Controlling while remaining deeply involved in core finance activities
  • Build a scalable, high-performing global finance organization with a practical, sleeves-rolled-up leadership style
  • Extensive Financial Management Experience: 10+ years in finance, ideally in tech or SaaS environments with recurring revenue models.

  • Expertise in Financial Controls and Compliance: Proven ability to establish robust financial policies and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

  • Strong Background in Cost Control & OPEX Management: Deep understanding of cash flow, working capital, and operational expenditure management for cost efficiency and accountability.

  • Analytical and Forecasting Skills: Expertise in financial modeling, variance analysis, and scenario planning to support accurate budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.

  • Proficiency in Financial Process Optimization (ESA): Experience in streamlining and automating finance functions to enhance scalability and productivity.

  • Strategic Financial Planning & Business Acumen: Ability to develop financial strategies aligned with long-term goals and advise on critical areas like M&A, product development, and ROI.

  • Leadership and Team Development: Demonstrated experience (at least 7 years) in building and managing high-performing finance and IT teams, with a focus on succession planning and employee engagement.

We offer

  • Close collaboration at the executive level with the CEO and leadership team.

  • Opportunity to drive financial strategy and impact growth.

  • Ownership of key SaaS and budgeting metrics.

  • Leadership role in building a high-performing finance team.
