Agentic Solutions Architect
Job description
The Agentic Solutions Architect works with internal and external stakeholders to craft and deliver innovative, cost-effective Salesforce solutions that combine core platform architecture with agentic AI. The role designs where deterministic automation (Flow, Apex, integrations) ends and where AI agents (Agentforce, prompt-grounded reasoning, and autonomous actions) begin, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, trustworthy and grounded in well-governed data. The position is roughly balanced between Agentforce / AI agent design and core Salesforce architecture, and develops the required skills to assume greater complexity over time.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Defines the end-to-end solution architecture for Salesforce engagements – data model, components, integrations, and the boundary between deterministic automation and AI agents
- Designs Agentforce agents – topics, actions, instructions and guardrails – and how they interact with Salesforce data, external systems and human users
- Defines the grounding and data strategy for AI (Data Cloud, data libraries, retrieval sources) so agents respond accurately on clean, governed data
- Balances functionality, performance, resilience, reuse, scalability, security and cost, including the trade-offs between AI agents and deterministic approaches
- Act as the go-between project and product management
- Designs the solution blueprint based on client requirements, Salesforce platform capabilities and the Agentforce / AI stack
- Liaises with various stakeholders to ensure that the assigned architecture project meets the needs of the organization and the client
- Communicates designs and requirements to developers, administrators and consultants, and unblocks them through delivery
- Researches third-party, AppExchange and AI tooling options and recommends how best to integrate them into the solution
- Maintains the quality and effectiveness of the build and of agent behaviour, establishing testing (including Agentforce Testing Center) and monitoring against agreed standards
- Monitor the technical competencies of the company by looking for new technology and techniques
- Oversee assigned programs and provide guidance to team members
- Help to solve technical problems when they arise
- Monitors solutions and agent adoption to ensure they meet user needs, business goals and Responsible AI / trust standards
- Owns the solution and agent lifecycle on assigned engagements – design, build, implementation, testing, support and ongoing evolution
- Acts as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, from administrators to executives, explaining agentic concepts, risks and ROI in language each audience understands
Supports pre-sales and scoping by shaping proposals, estimating effort, identifying high-value agent use cases and presenting solution approaches in workshops and pitches
- Embeds security, privacy, trust and Responsible AI considerations into every design, and sets guardrails for safe autonomous action
Experience
At least 5 years’ experience on the Salesforce platform in a corporate or consulting / professional-services environment
- At least 2 years’ in a solution / technical architect capacity, including hands-on Salesforce build (Flow, Apex, integrations) on client-facing engagements
- Experience designing modifications to existing systems, software, applications
- Experience in quality assurance and software testing
Practical experience designing or delivering Agentforce solutions, or comparable production experience with LLM / agentic systems that can be applied to Agentforce
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Salesforce certifications such as Application Architect, System Architect or Platform Developer
- Salesforce Agentforce Specialist and Data Cloud Consultant certifications (or working towards them); AI Specialist a plus
