Test Automation Engineer with German
Job description
We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer with German language skills to join a project that requires building test automation architecture and implementing new automated testing solutions. The person in this role will work on greenfield implementations and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines across heterogeneous landscapes including Java-based systems, Pega interfaces, and SAP modules. The role requires practical experience with Playwright and Robot Framework.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement test automation frameworks and project structures for new implementations (\greenfield\ setups).
- Develop automated test suites using Playwright with best practices (Page Object Model, modular architecture) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Create keyword-driven tests and reusable libraries using Robot Framework.
- Design and execute integration tests at the interface level across heterogeneous systems (Java, Pega, SAP) and coordinate test coverage for cross-system flows.
- Contribute to CI/CD integration (e.g., GitLab CI) so that automated tests run reliably within pipelines and provide actionable feedback.
- Produce clear reporting and test documentation, maintain test artifacts, and ensure traceability of test cases and results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse system interfaces and recommend appropriate test approaches and test data strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in test automation or related roles.
- German language proficiency of at least B2.
- Solid practical experience with Playwright , including new implementations, project structure design, Page Object Model, CI/CD integration, and independent test creation.
- Experience with Robot Framework and keyword-driven testing methodologies.
- Experience designing and implementing test architecture/frameworks for new projects (greenfield experience).
- Technical understanding of Java-based backend/façade architectures sufficient to design effective integration tests and to read and analyse code; active Java development is not strictly required.
- Experience with integration testing across heterogeneous landscapes and working with interfaces between Java, Pega, and SAP systems.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD systems (e.g., GitLab CI) and producing test reports and documentation.
- Desirable: experience automating tests for Pega interfaces (dynamic UIs, Pega DX API) and familiarity with Pega Unit; desirable: experience with SAP test automation.
Benefits
- Opportunity to design and deliver greenfield test automation solutions and influence the technical direction of the test architecture.
- Remote work.
- Work on cross-system integration challenges across Java, Pega, and SAP landscapes, enhancing system-level testing expertise.
- Collaborative environment with technically focused peers and opportunities for skills development in modern test automation tools and CI/CD practices.
- Clear responsibilities and the chance to own automation deliverables from design through CI/CD integration and reporting.
- Flexibility regarding working hours. Autonomy to choose the way you work. We trust you.
- Cooperation with top-tier engineers and experts.
- Unique TEAL culture, relationship- and respect-driven community, non-corporate atmosphere.
- Agile approach and no bureaucracy.
- Outstanding integration trips to various places in Europe for all employees.
- Activities to support your well-being and health. Luxmed Gold Extended medical care and Multisport Plus benefit.
