Job description

Join Fastned at the forefront of Europe's electric vehicle and charging infrastructure revolution! Together with 450+ colleagues from over 50 nationalities, spread across 10 countries, we drive change in the energy transition. A significant share of Fastned's most strategic fast-charging locations are secured through competitive tendering: concessions along national highways, partnerships with municipalities, and agreements with major mobility and real estate players. This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact!

Your Role

We're looking for a Senior Bid Manager to take full ownership of Fastned's most important bids and proposals; from initial qualification all the way through to final submission. As a central and experienced figure within the Tender team, you will lead mid-to-high-complexity tenders with precision and strategic clarity, collaborating closely with commercial, technical, legal, and finance teams to craft proposals that are fully compliant, competitively priced, and compellingly positioned to win. You will also serve as a natural point of reference for local execution leads and programme managers, sharing knowledge generously and helping the whole team grow together.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Planning & Strategy

Analyse tender requirements and develop a thorough understanding of customer needs

Shape a proposal strategy aligned with business goals and Fastned's mission

Identify key win themes and differentiators that set Fastned apart

Build a clear proposal schedule and coordinate responsibilities across contributors

Content Development & Management

Write, edit, and manage proposal content to ensure clarity, compliance, and persuasiveness

Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to co-develop technical, management, and pricing sections

Contribute to and help maintain the Knowledge Hub so the team can build on shared expertise

Team Coordination & Collaboration

Bring together cross-functional teams, including sales, capture managers, technical experts, and pricing teams, to deliver as one

Facilitate proposal bid assessments and review meetings in an inclusive and constructive way

Keep the team on track, ensuring deadlines are met and content stays aligned with the proposal strategy

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure proposals comply with all tender instructions and evaluation criteria

Lead cross-functional reviews to collectively refine and strengthen proposal content

Proofread and format proposals to the highest standard of consistency and professionalism

Submission & Post-Submission Activities

Submit bids & proposals on time and in the correct format

Track proposal outcomes and maintain a lessons-learned repository to continuously improve

Support orals, clarifications, and debriefs as needed

Who we are looking for?

You bring solid expertise in bids and proposals management, a genuine commitment to excellence, and the confidence to guide complex processes from start to finish. You care about doing things well and helping those around you grow. You also check the boxes below:

6+ years of experience in bids & proposals management, with a strong track record of leading and delivering mid-to-high-complexity, high-value tenders

Solid hands-on experience with public procurement procedures, including competitive dialogue, negotiated procedures, and framework agreements

APMP Fellow certification is strongly preferred and considered a significant differentiator

Master's degree in Business Administration, Law, Communications, Civil Engineering, or a related field

Advanced professional proficiency in English with exceptional written communication skills; advanced Dutch, French, or German is a strong plus

Experience within the infrastructure, energy, e-mobility, real estate, or concession sectors is strongly preferred

Organised and detail-oriented, with a thorough approach to compliance and quality

Focused and adaptable under ambitious deadlines, with strong prioritisation instincts and the ability to balance multiple projects
