Job description

DEPT® is a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, our 4,000+ specialists deliver growth invention services across Brand & Media, Experience, Commerce, CRM, and Technology & Data. We’re 50|50 tech and marketing, partner-led, and first to move. Clients include Google, Lufthansa, Meta, eBay, and OpenAI. We have been certified B Corp and Climate Neutral since 2021.

At DEPT®, we believe the best social work happens where creativity, culture and data come together. We create social-first campaigns and always-on content for brands such as bol, Ziggo, Nikon and Praxis. As our client portfolio continues to grow, so does the need to make smarter, faster and more informed decisions.

That's where you come in.

JOB PURPOSE

As a Social Data Analyst, you'll help shape the future of social by turning data into actionable insights. You'll work closely with strategists, creatives and community managers to uncover opportunities, measure impact and continuously optimise our work.

You'll become the go-to expert for social performance, helping both our teams and our clients understand what drives results and, more importantly, why.

Whether it's analysing campaign performance, building dashboards, conducting competitive audits or uncovering emerging trends, your insights will directly influence creative and strategic decisions.

As our Social Data Analyst, you'll help us:

  • Build a more data-driven way of working.
  • Deliver stronger reporting and actionable insights.
  • Improve both paid and organic social performance.
  • Strengthen creative and strategic decision-making.
  • Elevate our new business pitches with high-quality social audits and competitive analysis.
  • Increase efficiency by allowing creatives and strategists to focus on what they do best.
  • Scale our social offering as we continue to grow.

In short: better insights lead to better content, stronger strategies and better business results.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Analyse paid and organic social performance across multiple clients and platforms.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards and performance frameworks.
  • Conduct social audits and competitive analyses to support new business pitches.
  • Identify audience, platform and content trends that can strengthen client strategies.
  • Partner with strategists and creatives to optimise content based on performance insights.
  • Define and monitor the KPIs that truly matter for each client.
  • Support quarterly business reviews and client presentations with data-driven storytelling.
  • Continuously improve how we measure social success across DEPT.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 2–5 years of experience in social analytics, digital analytics or performance marketing.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their metrics (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.).
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Looker Studio, Power BI or Tableau.
  • Comfortable working with platform analytics and social listening tools like Brandwatch & Emplifi.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate numbers into compelling stories.
  • Experience conducting competitor analysis and identifying market opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills, you can explain data to both specialists and non-specialists.
  • Curious, proactive and always looking for ways to improve.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF...

You get excited by finding the story behind the numbers.

You're just as comfortable diving into a dashboard as you are presenting insights to a client. You enjoy spotting patterns others miss and believe that great creative work becomes even stronger when it's backed by data.

If you're passionate about helping brands make smarter decisions on social, and want to shape how one of the fastest-growing social teams works, we'd love to hear from you.

WE OFFER

  • A flexible, hybrid working policy (2-3 days from the office, depending on location) and the opportunity to work from abroad for 13 weeks a year.
  • 24 vacation days per year and the possibility to buy an unlimited number of extra vacation days.
  • DEPT®/YOU Learning Menu and DEPT®/YOU Special Programs. Develop your skills with courses and programs tailored to your needs.
  • Stay happy and healthy with a contribution to your health through the OpenUp platform, gym and wellness discounts, and healthy lunches at the office.
  • Get a discount on your lease bike and ride in style. You can also enjoy hassle free-commutes with an NS Business Card.
  • A reputation for doing good. DEPT® has been a Certified B Corp® since 2021, has been named a Great Place To Work since 2022 in the Netherlands and named ‘Agency of the Year’ at both The Lovies and The Webby Awards.
  • Awesome clients. Whether big, small, local or global — at DEPT® you’ll get the opportunity to work with all of them. And we celebrate all of our successes together!
  • You can discover even more employee benefits here.

WHY DEPT®?

We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA.

We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter.

At DEPT®, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION

At DEPT®, we take pride in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. We actively seek to recruit, develop, nurture, and retain talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, with varying skills and perspectives.

Not sure you meet all qualifications? Apply, and let us decide! Research shows that women and members of underrepresented groups tend not to apply for jobs when they think they may not meet every requirement, when in fact they do. We believe in giving everyone a fair chance to shine.

We also encourage you to reach out to us and discuss any reasonable adjustments we can make to support you throughout the recruitment process and your time with us.
