Principal BIM Coordinator - Roads & Highways, REC
Job description
As our new Principal BIM Coordinator, you will be part of a world class, innovation driven engineering design Centre owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a Centre for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions to the rest of the organization.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Ensure that we work according to digital requirements and follow our digital processes.
- Working according to the project BIM Execution Plan/Digital Delivery Plan.
- Assisting the BIM Managers in driving the project forward with a focus on efficient information management.
- Coordinate with the external and internal project members, including supporting the project's various discipline model coordinators.
- Supporting the design team with implementation of Ramboll and project specific standards.
- Quality-assuring our digital outputs and deliverables.
- Supporting the delivery of the project's digital and data/metadata requirements, including project client data and CAD needs.
- Collaborate with project managers and control the exchange of information and deliverables on issues related to digital design.
- Coordinate digital design files, templates and object libraries, including checking.

- BE/B. Tech degree in Engineering from an institute of repute or equivalent.
- Experience required 8 + Years.
- Must have previous experience in Rail/Transport market, including production of deliverables to a high standard.
- Should be proficient AutoCAD Civil 3D and additional proficiency in one or more software such as MicroStation, Navisworks, Infraworks.
- Should have working knowledge in CDE software e.g. Projectwise/Autodesk Forma (formerly ACC)
- Experience in IFC mapping, model attribution, and parametric modeling will be advantageous.
- Should have previous experience of clash detection and model/data coordination for complex projects.
- In addition to technical / functional acumen, candidates should have good communication skills and should be able to present their work.
- Should be a good team member and comfortable with communication in team meetings.
- Professional English language skills (written and verbal).
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications
