MAIN PURPOS
Assemble, test, calibrate and inspect instruments for distribution to the mining sector.
Minimum Qualification Required
Matric / N3 Technical;
Basic understanding of electronics; Ability to read drawings; Basic maths; Reading comprehensive skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assemble
- Performs any combination of following tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems
- Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
- Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, solders, wax, press fits, or glue similar operations to join or secure parts in place, using hand tools
- Cutting, stripping and connecting component lead wires and cables to printed circuits or routes and connecting wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points, using soldering, or related bonding procedures and diagrams
- Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets
- Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies
- Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and colour coding parts and assemblies
- Performs on-line testing, visual inspection, and verification to ensure it meets production specifications and standards;
- Charging of all instruments
- Calibrating of Schauenburg GDI instruments
- Cleaning and packaging finished instruments
- Adhere to the health and safety regulations;
- Adhere to the quality policy
- Adhere to the company policies and procedures
- Housekeeping
- Any other reasonable duties given to you by your direct Supervisor / Manager
Skills
- Exposure to one or more of the following: Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, OR Corel Draw; (Advantageous);
- Exposure to basic Internet knowledge and social media posting experience;
- UI/UX experience;
- Design for Print;
- Social Media Platforms (How to post to Facebook and LinkedIn and how to draw statistics on Google ads etc).
