Job description

Advanced Professional Security (APS) is looking for a dedicated recruiter to fill our ongoing armed and unarmed security guard roles. This individual will have moderate experience in recruitment with a focus in security operations and numerous roles and their individual compliances. In-house Recruiter Our ideal candidate is someone who can laugh at the unpredictable, who has likely heard it all, and can ensure that our numerous clients are fully staffed or at least in line to be staffed. You will be able to assist in daily administrative duties and attend weekly staffing meetings.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and attracting candidates through our pre-selected job boards, social media, employee referrals, networking events, and applicant tracking system (ATS) to build a pipeline of armed and unarmed guards in both Colorado and Arizona.
  • Screening and interviewing applicants to assess skills, experience, and cultural fit, often conducting phone or video interviews before coordinating in-person interviews.
  • Collaborating with hiring managers and account managers to understand job requirements, team structure, and skill gaps, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and company culture.
  • Assist in recruitment tracking metrics like time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and candidate quality to optimize the hiring process.
  • Maintaining relationships with schools, agencies, and professional networks for ongoing recruitment outreach.
  • Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 mos. to 1 year in recruitment (where recruitment was the primary focus)
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with candidates, hiring managers, and leadership
  • Strong organizational and decision-making abilities to manage multiple roles and ensure timely hiring
  • Proficiency with ATS (JazzHR & Hub Spot), HRIS (ADP), and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance throughout the hiring process
  • Relationship-building skills to foster trust with candidates and internal teams
