Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct and facilitate the game by providing the rules of the game to participants, according to established requirements.
  • Ability to calculate odds quickly and accurately to pay winning bets and collect losing bets.
  • Ability to determine the appropriate chip denominations for cash received.
  • Must be cognizant of the security of the game being played and notify the appropriate member of Poker Room management of any irregularities and/or attempts to cheat while the game is being played.
  • Provide our guests with fast, fun, friendly, joyful, focused service.
  • Communicate (both written and verbal) with and promote positive team member and guest relations.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times when working with other team members and/or guests.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous Dealing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of multiple table games preferred.
  • Successful completion of dealer school/program required.
  • Strong hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity skills are preferred.
  • Must successfully pass an audition to determine the performance levels and abilities.
  • Must be able to complete and maintain the background check and licensing process required by the Delaware Gaming Enforcement/ Lottery during employment.
  • Must have strong math skills, with the ability to calculate numbers quickly & accurately.
  • Must possess strong money-handling and documentation skills.
  • Must be able to wear and appear comfortable in the assigned uniform provided by Delaware Park.
  • Must be able to sit for at least a full eight (8)-hour shift.
  • Ability to bend, reach, pull, push, kneel, squat, and grasp as needed.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to perform duties at station assignments that are busy with limited space, have high volumes, diverse clientele, noise, music, minimal and/or bright lighting, and variation of climate control.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers, and management is mandatory.
  • Must be able to handle all types of guest-related situations, relay all guest compliments and complaints to Table Games Management
