Core Responsibilities

  • Support the deployment of the site growth strategy, effectively linking the human resources and talent management system efforts to the business plan to deliver consistent performance and results. Partner with local leadership and leverage data analytics to help facilitate action planning and to make informed talent & people management decisions to enable organizational effectiveness and success.
  • Works with Regional HR Leader to develop and execute strategic workforce plans to support manufacturing needs in alignment with commercial intelligence and VOC.
  • Effectively collaborates the Barnes Aerospace HQ team to fully deploy and utilize the full complement of the Talent Management System (TMS) to drive talent acquisition, development, engagement, and retention in alignment with the business strategy.
  • Effectively and efficiently administer HR policies, procedures, standards to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Acts as liaison between employee and management to facilitate open communications to respond to inquiries regarding company policies, practices, and procedures. Explain the "what, why and how" for decisions.
  • Works with employees and supervision to facilitate counseling and problem resolution.
  • Support talent acquisition processes; actively involved in recruitment activities and onboarding processes. In conjunction with the local management team, conduct new employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of Company programs, procedures, and policies.
  • Coordinate and administer annual benefits open enrollment process and handle on-going benefits administration.
  • Support the administration of compensation programs, including annual performance reviews, merit planning, and drafting of job postings.
  • Conduct HRIS and HR self-audits help assure data integrity. Completes monthly HR Scorecard and other HR metrics as applicable.
  • Lead and coordinate various community and employee relations events and initiatives. Partner with cross-functional teams on team projects.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in Human Resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and commitment.
  • Collaborator with ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion, establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management and diligence with the ability to multi-task on a wide variety of HR duties and projects.
  • Self-directed, flexible, and able to effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to research & analyze data and reason logically to draw conclusions and make sound recommendations.
  • Excellent computer skills required including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as comfort working within HR Information/HRIS.
  • Visible and regularly engages with employees by walking around. Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to anticipate, investigate and remediate employee relations issues and support a positive employee culture.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with and influence peers and management through consultation/coaching.

Education Requirements

  • BS or BA in Human Resources or related field is required. PHR or SPHR desirable.
