Job description

Medcor is looking to hire a full-time EMT or Paramedic to be an Onsite Health Technician in our employer-based occupational health clinic in Stuarts Draft, VA.

This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule designed to provide an excellent work-life balance. You'll work a combination of 10-hour and 12-hour shifts, with multiple consecutive days off throughout the month. Below is an example of the rotation:

Week 1

Sunday & Saturday: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Thursday & Friday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Week 2

Sunday, Friday & Saturday: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Week 3

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Week 4

Monday & Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Wednesday & Thursday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM

In this position, you will provide first aid care and treatment by triaging employees after an injury, following our step-by-step care protocols, and supporting employees with wellness, education, and teaching. You will also be responsible for the daily operations of the clinic, including ordering supplies and following compliance processes. You will work collaboratively with the employer's Safety Team and Human Resources, as well as with medical providers at off-site offices such as urgent care centers and hospitals. You will be working independently, with support available remotely from the Operations Manager and other Medcor staff.

Sign-On Bonus: $3,000.

The compensation for this position is $29.00-$31.00/hour.

A typical day in the life of a Medcor Onsite Health Technician:

Administer and manage health service functions and daily clinic operations

Provide superior customer service to Medcor's client and employees

Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor's Evidence-Based Medicine protocols, known as the Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs)

Build and maintain internal team relationships

Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts

Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety, and environmental practices

Collaborate with client Human Resources and benefits professionals on clinic issues

Document and manage information using electronic medical records software and other tools

Pre-employment and post-offer screenings

Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)

Case management

OSHA record-keeping

General administrative duties

You Must

Be able to work independently and have good time management and organizational skills

Have valid licensure for the position for which you are applying and current CPR/BLS certification

Have strong computer and technology skills (navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc.), as well as familiarity with EMR software

Be strong enough to lift a 50 lb. emergency response bag

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Have a positive and outgoing personality

Be willing to go above and beyond just because that's who you are

Be passionate about people and giving them the best care humanly possible

Be able to have fun

You are comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment

You have relevant occupational health experience

You have experience in emergency medicine or critical care
