Test Engineer

Ontrac Solutions is looking for a Test Engineer to join the Lithuanian team of a global leader in risk management software (GRC & Compliance), supporting quality assurance and test automation for enterprise-grade applications.

Our client is a globally recognized leader in risk management software, combining Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solutions with Ethics & Compliance Learning resources. They help organizations identify, manage, and mitigate risk from every angle.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about software quality, who loves finding creative ways to improve applications and wants to build and expand their test automation skills in a supportive, remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Test Design

• Ensure the quality and reliability of software products through both manual and automated testing
• Design, implement, and maintain effective test plans and test cases
• Automate repeatable scenarios using the Cucumber test automation framework

Execution & Testing

• Develop and execute test cases and scripts for web applications
• Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing

Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and Agile teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle

Defect Management

• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution in close cooperation with development teams

Documentation & Best Practices

• Maintain clear, up-to-date test documentation and report test outcomes effectively
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the evolution of QA best practices

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar QA role performing manual and automated testing using Cypress/Playwright or other test automation tools
• Degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field
• Solid experience with web applications, functional, regression, and integration testing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, capable of managing multiple tasks, with a proactive approach and strong sense of ownership
• Ability to problem-solve, think out of the box, and strong willingness to learn new skills
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycles, preferably Agile/Scrum
• Experience participating in code reviews and helping shape QA standards

Compensation

In the interest of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is €2,500 – €3,100 gross/month, plus the opportunity for a bonus. This may vary based on location and experience.
