As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Guard in Glen Burnie, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may need attention.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or policy violations while maintaining a visible presence and offering assistance when appropriate.
- Support store operations by observing customer and employee activity, assisting with security-related incidents, and communicating clearly with management regarding unusual events and/or operational concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
