Job description

About Amaro Law Firm

Amaro Law Firm is one of the fastest-growing personal injury and wrongful death law firms in the country — known for our results, client experience, structure, and high-performance culture. With more than 20 years of experience across personal injury, wrongful death, insurance claims, and commercial litigation, and a renowned reputation in truck wrecks, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death trial work, we are on a mission to bring closure, justice, and peace to thousands of families. We are fast-paced, deeply committed to our core values, and an ideal environment for passionate professionals who want to make a real difference in our community and in our clients’ lives.

Our Core Values

  • Be Used and Useful to Others — put clients and teammates first.
  • Ethos Before Egos — do what’s right over what’s easy.
  • Excellence Is Our Presence — bring your best to every interaction.
  • Control the Controllables — own your effort, attitude, and follow-through.
  • Comfort in Discomfort — grow by leaning into the hard conversations.

Our Culture

We operate with a results-driven mindset. Every role — from intake to case management to attorneys — understands how their work directly impacts case value, client experience, and firm growth. Unlike many law firms, Amaro is run like a corporation with high service standards, using EOS, KPIs, OKRs, and SOPs to maximize our efforts for our clients while maintaining organization, standards, and efficiency. Team members are empowered to make decisions, solve problems, and continuously improve — not simply move files from one stage to the next.

Position Summary

As an Intake Specialist, you are the first point of contact for potential new clients (PNCs) — often reaching people during a difficult and vulnerable moment. You will provide compassionate support, gather the essential information needed to assess each case, and guide qualified clients through sign-up. This role puts your inside sales and customer service skills to work while you learn and develop new skills inside a high-performance legal environment. Because injured clients reach out around the clock, this position requires availability for on-call duty — including some evenings and weekends — to respond promptly to inquiries.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify new potential new clients (PNCs) through inbound and outbound calls, lead follow-up, and email correspondence.
  • Manage both inbound and outbound calls with the goal of a first-call close.
  • Build genuine rapport with prospective clients and close potential contracts with a high sign-up rate.
  • Accurately document every PNC in our contact management system and keep each potential client’s status properly logged.
  • Develop and maintain an effective daily plan to engage potential and current clients.
  • Address and resolve client issues and complaints promptly, escalating to management when circumstances require.
  • Follow up with clients to determine and update case status.
  • Work independently with strong learning agility, problem-solving, and self-motivation throughout the day.

What You’ll Bring

Required

  • 2+ years of intake experience with a personal injury law firm.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • A proven history of meeting or exceeding closing goals — a true closer with a high sign-up rate.
  • Strong phone presence with excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Empathy, a positive attitude, and a commitment to the highest-quality customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail to keep the intake process seamless.
  • Experience with LOR’s & LOP’s.
  • Availability for after-hours and weekend on-call coverage (a firm cell phone is provided).

Preferred

  • College degree.
  • Professional sales training (e.g., PSS, SPIN Selling, or Dale Carnegie).
  • Sales awards and recognition (e.g., President’s Club, Rep of the Month, or Top Closer).
  • Familiarity with intake standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Schedule, On-Call & Evaluation

  • 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
  • Some after-hours and weekend on-call coverage is required. You are not required to be in the office during on-call time — you’ll carry a firm-provided cell phone to respond to leads. This will be as needed, but typically once per month.
  • The position includes a 90-day performance evaluation period, after which you become eligible for paid time off.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base pay plus performance bonuses tied to new client acquisition and positive client testimonials.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage (no cost to employees).
  • 401(k) with employer matching.
  • Generous paid time off (eligible after the 90-day evaluation period).
  • Parental leave.
  • Professional development assistance.
  • Life insurance.
