This position is located at our manufacturing and test facility in Briggs, TX north of Austin, TX.
SUMMARY
Firefly Vehicle Integration Prep Technician work closely with Vehicle Integration Technicians, Planning, Warehouse, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure incoming work is fully prepared and ready for production according to established instructions and production requirements. This work primarily includes receiving and preparing incoming jobs, verifying parts and documentation, cleaning and marking hardware, performing prep-level assembly steps, and staging work for assignment to the manufacturing production team. We are hiring for a range of experience levels from entry level to highly experienced and we encourage all interested candidates to apply. This role is located in Briggs, TX.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Review planned work orders and align daily priorities with production Leads
•
Prepare incoming jobs for production by printing work instructions and manufacturing order documents, assembling job packets, and staging work in the proper flow locations
•
Unpack parts, organize hardware, and verify all required parts are present and correct
•
Consume parts in the ERP system and support part pick activities
•
Visually inspect incoming parts for damage, discrepancies, and non-conformance
•
Clean hardware using approved cleaning methods, including ultrasonic / sonic cleaning processes and perform part marking.

Complete prep-level assembly operations such as helicoil, keensert, or other light installation steps and support other technician assembly work when required
•
Triage held jobs to identify opportunities to unblock work and coordinate with supporting teams to resolve issues
•
Escalate inventory, BOM and documentation issues to Warehouse, Planning, or Manufacturing Engineering as appropriate
•
Document standard rework, create NCRs for non-conforming parts, and support the incorporation and submission of work instruction redlines
•
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including chemical compliance checks and shop safety walkthroughs
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
•
1 to 3 years experience (or equivalent) in aerospace, manufacturing, production, R&D, or related industrial fields
•
Ability to read and follow work instructions, manufacturing order documentation, and basic technical drawings
•
Demonstrated high-level problem solving skills working in a team environment
•
Strong attention to detail in part verification, documentation, cleanliness, and production readiness
•
Experience working with ERP or manufacturing tracking systems
•
Ability to identify issues early and escalate appropriately to supporting teams
•
Physically able to climb ladders and stairs
•
Lift and carry 50 lbs. for limited durations
•
Schedule varies depending on needs, flexibility required
•
Work nights, weekends and overtime when necessary
Desired
•
Experience in a manufacturing supporting aerospace, fluid systems, or precision mechanical hardware production
•
Familiarity ERP / manufacturing execution systems
•
Experience performing visual inspection of machined hardware
•
Familiarity with FOD control practices and clean handling requirements
