Responsible for the overall clinical and administrative operations of the child/adolescent or adult outpatient psychiatric programs. Ensures that all patients receive high quality clinical care, that appropriate quality assurance standards are adhered to and there is appropriate coordination and communication between the Psychiatric Ambulatory Services, referrers, and discharge facilities. Verfies that all staff are adequately trained and supervised.

Responsibilities
- 1. Clinical Operations
- 1.1 Supervises Lead Clinicians and other staff at ambulatory psychiatry programs, and collaboratively leads with the medical directors to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- 2. Business/Administrative Operations
- 2.1 Responsible for all administrative and business operations of the child/adolescent or adult ambulatory programs
- 3. Supervisory/Employee Relations
- 3.1 Supervise Lead Clinicians and non-LIP staff in assigned child/adolescent or adult ambulatory psychiatry programs.
- 4. Patient Experience/Satisfaction
- 4.1 Ensures all programs and staff enact and abide by principles of Patient and Family Centered Care
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Master's Degree in Social Work or Nursing, or a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD)
EXPERIENCE
At least 6 years clinical experience in Psychiatry with at least three years of management experience, preferably in Psychiatric Ambulatory programs.
LICENSURE
State of Connecticut License as applicable.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Excellent administrative, managerial, technical, fiscal, and negotiating management skills. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Results-oriented and data-driven. Knowledge and understanding of federal, state and TJC regulations and demonstrated ability to adhere to standards. Managerial experience overseeing a continuum of care within a psychiatric setting and demonstrated experience and ability to programmatically respond to changing models of health care delivery and reimbursement. Background and experience working with children and adolescents or adults with psychiatric, behavioral, and/or developmental problems preferred. Knowledge and practice of Patient and Family Centered Care principles preferred. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and engage physicians/LIPs strongly desired. Strong supervisory and employee relations skills and demonstrated success in clinical program management and development, and productivity measures strongly desired. Knowledge of outpatient psychiatry billing and reimbursement a plus. Excellent computer skills, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
