Job description
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing timely financial reports, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The role supports sound financial management by analyzing financial data, managing payroll, monitoring cash flow, performing reconciliations, and providing accurate financial information to support informed business decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports Manage accounts payable and receivable Process payroll and ensure statutory compliance Perform bank, cash, and account reconciliations Monitor cash flow and support payment scheduling Conduct daily and monthly sales reconciliations Ensure timely posting of transactions and expense management Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance CPA qualification Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting Good understanding of payroll and statutory compliance (PAYE, VAT, WHT, NSSF, NHIF) High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
