Data Middleware Administrator

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a Data Middleware Administrator with strong operational experience in Confluent Kafka. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly join the operational team, take ownership of daily activities, and participate in the on-call rotation.

The role also includes responsibilities related to RHSSO, IBM MQ, and Oracle GoldenGate. Previous experience with these technologies is considered an advantage, but knowledge transfer and onboarding support can be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and support Confluent Kafka environments.
• Handle operational activities, incidents, troubleshooting, and performance checks.
• Participate in on-call support and ensure timely resolution of production issues.
• Support middleware platforms and integrations across the organization.
• Contribute to the administration and maintenance of RHSSO, IBM MQ, and Oracle GoldenGate.
• Work closely with application, infrastructure, and operations teams.
• Document operational procedures, incidents, and technical changes.
• Support onboarding, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement of middleware operations.

Must Have

• Strong hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka.
• Good understanding of Kafka administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operations.
• Experience working in production support environments.
• Ability to join operational activities quickly and work independently.
• Availability to participate in on-call rotation.
• Good troubleshooting and incident management skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with RHSSO.
• Experience with IBM MQ.
• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate.
• Knowledge of middleware platforms and enterprise integration environments.
• Experience with documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer.
