FIELD CIVIL TECHNICIAN (SURVEYOR) — L.C.L. EXCAVATION (2006) INC.
Join our team! L.C.L. Excavation is hiring a Field Civil Technician (Surveyor) to support our municipal and civil infrastructure projects. This role involves performing layout, grade checking, and field measurements to ensure accurate construction and support project delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform construction layout using GPS, total station, and other survey equipment
- Provide grade checks for pipe crews, road crews, and equipment operators
- Conduct field measurements for quantities, as-built data, and progress tracking
- Interpret plans, alignments, and profiles to ensure accurate construction
- Maintain survey data, notes, and digital files in an organized manner
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, foremen, and project managers
- Uphold safety standards and follow all project and company procedures
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience as a surveyor, field technician, or civil layout technician
- Proficiency with level, GPS and total station equipment
- Strong understanding of grades, elevations, and construction drawings
- Solid math, measurement, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in active jobsite environments and collaborate with crews
- Valid driver’s license
