Engineer (SMT / Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electronics, Mechatronics or any equivalent engineering discipline.
• Candidates with experience in SMT, PCB assembly or semiconductor manufacturing will have an added advantage.
• Knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes, machine programming, ECN, and PCB assembly is preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.

Job Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate products, samples, engineering drawings, and specification requirements, and conduct feasibility studies on manufacturing technologies.
• Act as the project champion for new product introduction (NPI) and product transfer projects until full production implementation.
• Liaise and coordinate with customers and cross-functional departments on new product and project development.
• Update Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and feeder setup lists to ensure accurate production documentation.
• Plan and optimize production processes to achieve efficient manufacturing at the most economical cost.
• Plan the sequence of operations and determine the appropriate machines and equipment based on production workload and capacity.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement continuous process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
