Analyst - Partnerships
Job description
Who is GATI?
We are a non-profit working at the frontier of ethical global skills and labour mobility — building corridors, standards, and institutions that connect Indian talent to the world. We work across central and state governments, industry, and international partners in Germany, Japan, Israel, Finland, and the EU. The following three roles strengthen our Partnerships team. Across all of them, we hire for character as much as competence: ownership, empathy, and the ability to think in systems.
Position Name: Analyst — Partnerships
Team: Partnerships
Experience: 3–5 years
Type: Full-time
About the role
This is a role for an experienced analyst who brings rigour and a commercial lens to our partnerships work. You will have come from a consulting or industry background, understand how businesses and sectors actually operate, and be able to model and landscape with confidence. You'll turn messy questions into structured, decision-ready analysis for senior government and industry audiences.
What you'll do
- Build financial and economic models — cost-benefit, unit economics, sizing, scenario analysis — to underpin our programmes and corridors.
- Lead sector and market landscaping: map demand, supply, players, and value chains across geographies and industries.
- Translate analysis into crisp recommendations, board-ready decks, and reports for ministries and partners.
- Bring a private-sector perspective to partnership design, due diligence, and commercial structuring. Mentor Associates on analytical methods and quality standards.
What we're looking for
- 3–5 years of experience, ideally at a top consulting firm (MBB, Deloitte, or similar) or in a strategy/analytics role in industry.
- Demonstrated private-sector understanding — you have worked inside or closely with a specific business, sector, or industry and understand its drivers.
- Strong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills.
- Proven landscaping and market-mapping capability.
- The maturity to engage senior stakeholders and own analysis end-to-end.
Qualities we hire for
- Deep ownership — you treat your workstream as your own and drive it to closure without being chased.
- Genuine team player with high empathy for colleagues, partners, and the migrant workers and aspirants at the heart of our mission.
- Design thinking and systems thinking — you can zoom into detail and zoom out to the whole, and design solutions that account for the full ecosystem.
- Clear, structured written and verbal communication suited to senior government, industry, and international audiences.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a builder's mindset; GATI and GSMAI are in active build-out mode.
