Project & Senior Project Managers - Hyperscale Data Center

Our long-term client is a leading hyperscale data center construction organisation, delivering large-scale mission-critical digital infrastructure across multiple geographies. The business is recognised for its commitment to safety, security, operational resilience, technical excellence, and the successful delivery of complex hyperscale data center environments.

They seek an experienced Project and Senior Project Managers to support the delivery of a major hyperscale data center development in Australia. The role requires proven construction delivery experience on large-scale mission-critical infrastructure, with direct involvement in the build of hyperscale data center projects.

Candidates must have previously worked for a construction company and have hands-on project delivery experience on a hyperscale data center development, either in Australia or internationally.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery across hyperscale data center construction workstreams.
• Manage construction programmes, milestones, risks, dependencies, and site progress.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and client representatives.
• Drive project execution across civil, structural, MEP, and fit-out interfaces.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, commercially, and to specification.
• Monitor cost, quality, schedule, procurement, and change control requirements.
• Support reporting, stakeholder updates, governance meetings, and escalation management.
• Identify delivery risks early and implement practical recovery actions.
• Ensure compliance with project standards, construction codes, and client expectations.
• Maintain strong site discipline, documentation control, and contractor accountability.
• Support commissioning, handover, defects management, and operational readiness activities.

🔹 Qualifications & Experience

• Must have worked previously for a construction company.
• Must have delivered hyperscale data center construction projects.
• Strong understanding of mission-critical construction environments and delivery standards.
• Demonstrated experience managing large contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong knowledge of programme management, cost control, risk, and reporting.
• Experience across MEP, electrical, cooling, power, and technical infrastructure preferred.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure construction environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving capability.
• Relevant degree or trade background in construction, engineering, or project management preferred.
• Australian project experience is advantageous but not essential.
