Job description

Overnight Clinical Lead -10:30 PM-7:00 AM (LPN, RMA or MA) — Richmond, VA

Pay: $22-$32 per hour | Golden Sanctuary Assisted Living | Full-Time

A boutique home. Eight residents. One trusted leader through the night.

Golden Sanctuary Assisted Living isn't a large facility — it's a home. We care for just 8 residents, which means every staff member matters, every resident is known by name, and quality of care isn't a talking point, it's the whole point. Because we're small and selective about who we bring in, the people who work here take real pride in being part of something better.

We're looking for an experienced Overnight Clinical Lead — an LPN or a strong RMA — ready to take ownership of a calm, safe, well-run home during the overnight shift. This isn't an entry-level position. It's a senior, trusted role for someone who thrives working independently and doesn't need constant oversight to do the job right.

Why You'll Want This Job

  • You'll actually make a difference. With only 8 residents, you're not stretched thin across a hallway of strangers — you're caring for people you know.
  • You'll be trusted, not micromanaged. As the lead overnight staff member, you run the home during your shift. We hire people we believe in and then get out of their way.
  • You'll work somewhere that feels like family — because that's genuinely the culture we've built, not a line in a brochure.
  • Competitive pay , based on your experience and licensure.
  • Stability and respect. We're not a revolving-door employer. We want someone who's here to stay, and we treat our team accordingly.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary overnight staff member responsible for resident safety and the home's operation
  • Administer medications accurately per physician orders and Virginia regulations (if licensed)
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living — toileting, mobility, comfort care
  • Monitor residents overnight and respond promptly to any needs or concerns
  • Observe and document changes in resident condition or behavior
  • Communicate key updates to the daytime team and leadership
  • Handle light housekeeping to keep the home clean and comfortable
  • Prep meals for the next day
  • Deliver person-centered care that respects each resident's dignity and independence

What You Bring

One of the following is required: Active LPN license in good standing (Virginia), Registered Medication Aide or a Medical Assistant willing to complete the Virginia 68-hour Medication Aide training program (RMA)

Plus

  • Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or home health (preferred)
  • The confidence and judgment to work independently overnight
  • Sharp observation skills and sound problem-solving instincts
  • A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach with residents
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Exceptional reliability — our residents and their families depend on you showing up, on time, every time

A Note on Who Fits Here

This role carries real responsibility: you're the one keeping watch, keeping calm, and keeping the home running while everyone sleeps. We're looking for someone who takes that seriously — someone dependable, steady under pressure, and proud of doing the job right without anyone looking over their shoulder.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.
