Senior Scrum Master Consultant

Mission Overview

The consultant will join Keystone Solutions to deliver a Scrum Master mission for our client in the Information Technology sector. This is a consultancy assignment, where you will represent Keystone Solutions on-site and work closely with client teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage two squads focused on IT Continuity within APS Service Availability & Resilience, part of the IT Production department.
• Oversee the backlog and perform some Product Owner tasks, especially for run activities.
• Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, Retrospective) and other meetings.
• Schedule and follow key steps of the methodology.
• Guarantee smooth use of the Scrum methodology and help the Project Team face any obstacles.
• Provide assistance or support to the Product Owner concerning the Product Backlog.
• Assist and support the team in the delivery of the Definition of Done (DoD), Sprint Backlog, etc.
• Track team capacity and velocity metrics for planning and progress purposes.
• Coach and challenge the Project Team.
• Help the Project Team face difficulties and promote gradual self-organization.
• Remove barriers to team effectiveness and protect the team from outside distractions.
• Act as ambassador of agile methods within the company.
• Report to superiors on the proper deployment of the Scrum methodology within projects.
• Risk & issue management.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Sound knowledge of English as well as at least one local language (Dutch or French).
• Master in IT or a related field.
• Knowledge of agile reporting and follow-up tools (Rally).
• Understanding of tooling on automated unit testing, automated functional testing, and continuous integration tooling.
• Sound knowledge of IT Infrastructure.
• Sound knowledge of project management methodology.
• Expert knowledge of agile methodology and techniques (e.g. Kanban).
• Experience in IT Continuity, DR exercises, DORA knowledge is a plus.
• Expectation: 50% on site & 50% homeworking.
• Agile teams are cross-functional; all required disciplines are represented in the team (analysis, development, testing, etc.). Team members are expected to contribute to other disciplines whenever it helps towards reaching the sprint goal.
