Research Analyst
Job description
Responsibilities
- Support portfolio managers by conducting industry, company, and market research.
- Perform financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, liquidity analysis, and other quantitative analysis to support investment decisions.
- Assist with credit analysis, including covenant review and the development of Penn Risk Recommendations (PRRs).
- Assist with equity research, including company analysis, identification of potential catalysts, and valuation work.
- Monitor existing portfolio holdings and industry developments.
- Prepare research reports, presentations, and supporting materials for the investment team.
- Participate in research meetings and contribute to investment discussions.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in investment management, investment banking, equity research, credit research, valuation, or a related financial field.
- Progress toward the CFA designation is a plus but not required.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an interest in financial modeling and fundamental research.
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and presentation abilities.
- Knowledgeable of Bloomberg, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and related software.
- Highly motivated, collaborative, and eager to develop as an investment professional.
