We are now seeking an experienced Plant Team Leader to join our Anaerobic Digestion Plant in Ballybofey. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated engineering professional to step into a hands-on leadership role within one of Ireland's growing renewable energy businesses. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 10 engineers, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our anaerobic digestion facility.

This role combines technical expertise with people leadership. You'll be responsible for coordinating daily activities, supporting preventative and reactive maintenance, monitoring plant performance, and ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and operational excellence. Whilst this is a supervisory position, we're looking for someone who enjoys remaining hands-on and is willing to work alongside the team whenever required.

What you'll be doing Lead, motivate, and develop a team of plant engineers. Plan and coordinate daily engineering and maintenance activities. Support the day-to-day operation of the anaerobic digestion plant. Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Work closely with the Plant Manager to maximise plant reliability, efficiency, and performance. Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant performance and reduce downtime. Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate effectively across operational teams.

What we're looking for An engineering qualification with a strong electrical bias. Previous experience leading or supervising engineering or maintenance teams. Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience within an industrial, manufacturing, utilities, renewable energy, or process environment. A practical, hands-on approach with excellent leadership and communication skills. A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Experience within anaerobic digestion, biogas, renewable energy, manufacturing, or utilities would be highly advantageous.
