About the Role
At Oterra, we are looking for a Field Agronomy Analyst to join our Global Sourcing team.
This position plays a key role in strengthening our relationships with growers while driving agronomic excellence to improve sweet potato yields and ensure a reliable supply for our extraction operations.

Key Purpose of the Role
The Field Agronomy Analyst is responsible for developing strong partnerships with growers while providing agronomic support and technical guidance focused on improving sweet potato productivity, crop quality, and forecast accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, ensuring effective crop management and successful harvest execution.
- Conduct regular field inspections across assigned plots, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing timely recommendations.
- Analyze agronomic data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Design and execute agronomic field trials from different technical perspectives, ensuring objective and reliable results.
- Prepare monthly production forecasts to support extraction site planning and ensure consistent supply visibility.
- Support additional sourcing and agronomic activities as required.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred Background

- Related Agricultural Sciences
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in agronomy, crop management, or agricultural production.
Languages
- Intermediate English.
- Portuguese is considered an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office.
- Agronomic data analysis.
- Crop monitoring and field management.
- Agricultural mechanization and new technologies.
- Budget and cost analysis.
- Valid driver's license.
SAP experience is not required.
