IT Manager
Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the hotel's IT infrastructure, including servers, workstations, network equipment, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
- Ensure the continuous operation of hotel systems, including PMS, POS, reservation systems, key card systems, accounting software, and other hospitality applications.
- Monitor system performance and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including antivirus protection, firewalls, data backup, disaster recovery, and access controls.
- Manage user accounts, email systems, and permissions for all employees.
- Coordinate with software and hardware vendors for installation, maintenance, upgrades, and support.
- Plan and execute IT projects, including system upgrades, new technology implementations, and infrastructure improvements.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets, software licenses, and equipment.
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Provide technical support and training to hotel staff.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company information security standards.
- Monitor and manage IT budgets, maintenance contracts, and procurement of IT equipment.
- Support conference and meeting technology, including audiovisual equipment and presentation systems.
- Ensure business continuity through regular data backups and disaster recovery testing.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance hotel operations and guest experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of IT experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, virtualization, and cloud services.
- Experience with hotel systems such as PMS, POS, door lock systems, IPTV, and CCTV is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco (CCNA), or ITIL are desirable.
