As a Nurse Manager within a procedural dermatology setting , you will guide a growing team through expansion while partnering closely with provider leadership to deliver exceptional patient care, operational performance, and team stability. This role offers a unique blend of people leadership, clinical oversight, and program development within a specialty environment.
The Role
In this role, you will lead the daily clinical and operational functions of a high-volume dermatology clinic, balancing patient care delivery with team leadership and strategic growth initiatives. You will serve as a visible, engaged leader who fosters strong relationships, supports staff development, and ensures operational excellence.
On a day-to-day basis, you will
Provide hands-on leadership and oversight of clinic operations, workflow, and patient care delivery in a ~30-room ambulatory setting supporting a growing team
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of clinical and administrative staff, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and professional development
Build strong relationships through consistent presence, engagement, and 1:1 interactions , creating a culture of trust and accountability
Drive team stability and retention initiatives , with a focus on engagement and recognition
Partner collaboratively with physicians, medical directors, and operational leadership to optimize patient access, clinical efficiency, and overall performance
Manage financial and operational components including budget oversight, productivity monitoring, and staffing models aligned to patient demand
Lead performance improvement initiatives , using data and key performance indicators to drive outcomes
Support and execute program development and innovation efforts , helping bring new clinical services and ideas to life
Oversee patient experience and ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based, high-quality care in a procedural dermatology environment with significant Mohs surgery volume
Prepare the clinic for significant growth and expansion , including workforce planning and operational scaling

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program, Master's degree in related field within 5 years of hire.
Experience: 3 years of progressively more responsible experience as a registered nurse in a patient care environment required.
Licensure: License to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. Valid Virginia Driver’s license required for managers with responsibility operations in multiple locations. Must have applicable specialty certification at hire or within 3 years.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
The pay range for this role is $104,062.40 - $138,819.20 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
