Physical Therapist

Adelphi is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide on-site school-based physical therapy services to students with disabilities at a school in Maryland. The ideal candidate will support K–12 students and/or Infant & Toddler populations with gross motor, mobility, positioning, accessibility, and functional movement needs. Job Quick Facts: • BD-1434-03 • Profession: Allied Health • Specialty: Physical Therapist • Location: Rockville, Maryland • Facility Type: School • Job Type: Contract • Shift Schedule: 1–5 days per week, up to 7 hours/day; specific schedule TBC • Rate: $60/hr Requirements: • Active Maryland Physical Therapist license • School-based pediatric PT experience strongly preferred • Familiarity with IEPs and school-based service delivery Responsibilities: • Conduct PT evaluations and re-evaluations, including written reports and IEP goal support • Provide direct individual and/or group PT services aligned with IEP goals • Support gross motor development, mobility, postural stability, strength, and endurance • Consult with school teams regarding positioning, accessibility, and adaptive equipment • Assess and recommend assistive technology, wheelchairs, walkers, orthotics, and mobility devices • Provide push-in and pull-out services as determined by the IEP team • Any other duties as assigned within scope
