Job description

Location: Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia (Eastern Province). Candidates from Dammam or Al Khobar are also welcome to apply for the practical assessment.)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in preparing burgers, sandwiches, and steaks, while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, consistency, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency. The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing the daily kitchen operations.
  • Prepare and supervise the preparation of burgers, sandwiches, steaks, and other menu items according to company recipes and standards.
  • Ensure consistency in food presentation, portion control, and taste.
  • Monitor food quality and ensure all dishes meet the required standards before serving.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene in compliance with Saudi regulations.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth workflow during service.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control and ordering.
  • Minimize food waste and ensure efficient use of kitchen resources.
  • Train and support junior kitchen staff when required.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and safely operated.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership kitchen role.
  • Strong hands-on experience in burgers, sandwiches, and steaks is mandatory.
  • Good knowledge of food quality standards, food safety regulations, and kitchen operations.
  • Proven ability to manage kitchen workflow and maintain consistency during busy service periods.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mandatory Requirements
  • Valid and transferable Iqama.

Candidates must be available to attend a physical cooking test in:

  • Al Jubail.
  • Dammam.
  • Al Khobar.
  • Immediate joiners are preferred.

Nationality Preference

  • Indian.
  • Nepalese.
