Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced, dependable, and proactive Part-Time Nanny/House Manager to support their busy household. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing household management with after-school childcare and is looking for a long-term opportunity with a wonderful family.

The family's children are school-aged (ages 10 and 12), making this role primarily focused on household management while providing after-school support, transportation, and occasional homework assistance.

Household Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day household tasks to keep the home running smoothly
  • Grocery shop and maintain household and pantry inventory
  • Coordinate vendor and service appointments within the home
  • Complete family laundry
  • Perform light housekeeping and organization (the home is professionally cleaned on a regular basis)
  • Prepare simple, healthy meals for the family as needed

Childcare Responsibilities:

  • Provide after-school supervision and support for two school-aged children
  • Safely transport children to and from school and extracurricular activities using your own reliable vehicle
  • Assist with homework as needed
  • Provide occasional evening transportation for activities and appointments
  • Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive environment

Pet Care:

  • Comfortable working in a home with dogs
  • Walk the dog approximately one mile each weekday
  • Previous experience as a nanny, family assistant, household manager, or in a similar role preferred
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
  • Reliable personal vehicle with a clean driving record
  • Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
  • Non-smoker
  • Comfortable with dogs
  • Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check and provide excellent professional references
  • Flexible schedule with occasional evening and weekend availability
  • Seeking a long-term opportunity (one year minimum; longer-term candidates are strongly preferred)

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday
  • Approximately 25-30 hours per week
  • Flexibility to increase to up to 35 hours per week as needed
  • Primarily afternoon and evening hours following the children's school schedule

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive pay of $32-$34 per hour, based on experience
  • Paid transition and training period with the family's current nanny to ensure a smooth handoff
  • Opportunity to join an appreciative family seeking a long-term partnership

If you are a highly organized, flexible professional who enjoys supporting busy families and creating a well-managed home environment, we encourage you to apply. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, communicates effectively, and is excited to become a trusted, long-term member of the household.
