Job Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer is specifically responsible and accountable the following areas:
- - Create detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and assemblies using CAD software (SolidWorks).
- - Working knowledge for Primary and secondary product Line Manufacturing and packing operations, especially in fields of Pharma, FMCG and Agro industries.
- - Ability to conduct line Study and create detailed product Line GA drawings in line with customer requirements.
- - Ability to act as SME to Validate project Hardware requirements and analyze risks involved for product handling, component functionality and overall System stability.
- - Understand client requirements based on the details provided to create designs that fit the requirements.
- - Working knowledge of Dynamic product handling systems such as conveyors and automation systems.
- - Support the project team from the concept to the production and the installation at customer site.
- Design mechanical components and customized solutions for vision inspection systems using SolidWorks
- Verifies that the design conforms to safety practices (CE) and customer specifications.
- Supervises the construction and testing of product prototypes and/or packaging line assembly.
- -Oversee the entire lifecycle of the machine design process, from planning and design to testing and implementation.
- Analyzes methods and suppliers for cost reductions on assemblies and equipment
- Estimates costs for designed products
- Collaborates with other team members to obtain timely results
- Documents designs so they can be adequately manufactured within the time and budget targets
- Continuously improves product quality and process effectiveness.
- -Adhere to national and local compliance regulations and standards, along with keeping in mind the ethos of the company.
- -Act as a bridge between the company, client and manufacturer
- -Sound knowledge of BOM Creation and structure of maintaining/ List standard parts in BOM.
The Ideal Candidate will have the following
- BE Degree in Mechanical//Mechatronics Engineering.
- Min 3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
- Alternatively, better than a working knowledge and solid/proven experience working in - Automation Systems design will be considered in lieu of a Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Knowledge in dealing with engineering drawings and 3D modelling.
- Experience working with tools such as SolidWorks and Draftsight.
