Director of Product Ownership
Job description
We're looking for an experienced Lead Product Owner to lead, coach, and line manage a team of Product Owners, driving high performance and continuous development across the team.
This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on AI adoption. You'll champion the use of AI tools across the Product Owner community, contribute to building AI-enabled workflows, and act as a role model for how AI can be embedded into day-to-day product ownership — from requirements and prototyping through to prioritisation and delivery.
What we're looking for:
- 7+ years of product ownership experience in software/technology environments
- Proven line management experience, or significant coaching/mentoring of other product professionals
- Demonstrable experience using and building AI tools to improve delivery — this is essential, not a nice-to-have
- Confidence working with technical teams and complex, technical products
- Strong command of Agile practices at scale (SAFe, LeSS, Scrum, Kanban)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- You will be reporting to a Senior Manager
You'll be expected to:
- Lead and develop a team of Product Owners across agile teams
- Drive AI adoption across the Product Owner community and establish best practices
- Contribute to building AI tools that improve product ownership workflows
- Set the standard for backlog ownership, prioritisation, and quality
- AI - Demonstrable experience using and building AI tools to improve delivery
- 7+ years of product ownership experience in software/technology environments
- Proven line management experience, or significant coaching/mentoring of other product professionals
- Degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- AI/ML literacy certification or equivalent practical experience
