Job description

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Perform inbound (receiving) inspections of materials and components.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections to verify product conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform outbound inspections and final release activities.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
  • Utilize precision measurement and inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and similar tools.
  • Complete First Article Inspections (FAIs) and associated documentation, preferably using Net-Inspect/NetSpect.
  • Acquire and maintain supporting documentation for orders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Quality inspection within an aerospace manufacturing environment or other regulated industry (e.g., medical device manufacturing).
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Use of precision measurement and bench inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and similar equipment.
  • Receiving, in-process, and final inspection activities.
  • First Article Inspections (FAIs), preferably using Net-Inspect/NetSpect.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

Highly Preferred

  • Associate's degree in a technical or related field.
  • Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
  • Experience using vision inspection systems.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Time management skills, including meeting deadlines and supporting on-time delivery goals.
  • Ability to successfully work independently.

  • Local coverage
  • Travel for off site training when required, 5%

The final compensation offered to the candidate may be based on geographical location, work experience and/or skill level. Additions to the compensation package, including but not limited to paid time off, insurance benefits and 401(k) eligibility will be outlined at the time of the job offer.

Compensation range: $29.00-37.00/hour
