Geisinger Behavioral Health Danville is looking for a Full-Time Security Guard/Driver to join our growing team!

This unique role combines traditional security responsibilities with the opportunity to provide direct support to patients by assisting with transportation home upon discharge.

Note:Typical hours are 11:00 AM–7:00 PM , although the schedule may vary slightly depending on the needs of the facility and patient transportation demands.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist, direct and monitor all persons entering and leaving the facility property.
• Keep accurate log books, as required.
• Direct emergency personnel arriving on facility property and maintain flow of traffic during emergencies, such as fire drills.
• Communicate incoming admissions, visits and deliveries to appropriate staff.
• Monitor parking area to ensure that no loitering or misconduct takes place, monitor lobby area and do frequent sweeps of the entire facility.
• Interact with staff and patients in a professional manner at all times.
• Report any suspicious behavior to the CEO, supervisor or a member of leadership.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years’ experience in security, corrections or military.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS

• Valid state driver's license.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
