Responsibilities

• Electronic receiving of product from metro deliveries and satellite locations
• Physically unloading merchandise from trailers onto returns dock
• Moving product to appropriate area according to procedure
• Investigate any discrepancies from store locations and communicate as such to the sending location
• Maintain all supplies, material handling equipment and detail of returns area
• Review, investigate and maintain daily reports communicate with employees and management
• Ensure the driver check in procedure compliance
• Help support the merchandising program as it pertains to our stores
• Direct work of employees in support of management for the operational process in returns
• Initiate and implement programs and procedures required to ensure DC safety and cleanliness in all zones
• Ensure all equipment and machinery is in good order and ensure employees perform pre-shift checks
• Train and develop employees, identifying and mentoring high potential candidates
• Ensure compliance with all Brick Group policies and procedures while achieving departmental goals through effective staff management
• Key holder responsibility as needed – opening and closing the building

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Ability to organize and prioritize work for others
• Coaching and mentoring of associates
• Detail orientated and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to solve complex problems operationally and in WMS
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse material handling position
• Experience with warehouse management system (WMS)
• Experience with our current retail system(E1)
