Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Deterrence in Memphis, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer supporting a government tourism location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism and clear communication. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and guests by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas to help support authorized access, provide directions, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
• Assist with incident reporting, daily activity logs, and other assigned duties that help support orderly operations and a professional environment for the public.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
