Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control in Fort Smith, AR , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic food and beverage location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees and visitors. You will remain visible, conduct routine activity in assigned areas, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and document access activity in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including production, warehouse, loading, and perimeter areas, while reporting unusual conditions and security-related concerns.
  • Support screening and checkpoint operations for employees, visitors, and deliveries, helping to deter unauthorized access and maintain orderly movement throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
