Job description
Job Summary Assess and process insurance claims by evaluating coverage, liability, and damages. Communicate with claimants and service providers to resolve claims efficiently and accurately. Number of Positions 5 Main Duties Investigate reported losses by gathering evidence, interviewing claimants and witnesses, and inspecting property or vehicles as required Review policy terms and coverage to determine entitlement and applicable limits Analyze documentation such as medical reports, police reports, repair estimates, and receipts to assess claim validity Determine liability, calculate damages, and recommend approval, denial, or settlement amounts Negotiate settlements with claimants, legal representatives, and service providers while ensuring compliance with policy and regulatory requirements Prepare and maintain detailed claim files, reports, and correspondence using claims management systems Requirements Post-secondary diploma or certificate in insurance, business, finance, or equivalent work experience in claims handling Previous experience investigating and administering insurance claims or related casework Working knowledge of insurance coverages, claims processes, and relevant regulations and legislation Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail and sound judgment Effective written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and customer service Proficiency with claims management software and office applications, and ability to travel to inspection sites as needed Required Skills Claims assessment and file management Risk evaluation and liability determination Negotiation and dispute resolution Report writing and documentation Customer service and stakeholder communication Time management and prioritization Benefits Benefits include competitive wages, supportive work environment, opportunities for growth, training support, and other employer-specific benefits depending on the position and location.
