Job description

Job Title: Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) - High School Setting

Location: Yucaipa, CA 92399

Salary: $70,500 - $78,000 a year - Full-time, Salaried

Are you burned out by unpredictable schedules, endless weekend tournaments, and constant travel? At ATvantage, we do secondary school athletic training the way it should be—consistent, supported, and sustainable.

We are seeking a permanent, Full-Time Salaried Athletic Trainer to serve a local high school in Yucaipa, California. Located beautifully at the base of the San Bernardino mountains, this role offers a stable, structured high school rhythm, full benefits, and a supportive leadership network that always has your back.

Why Inland Empire Athletic Trainers Choose ATvantage

A Schedule You Can Count On

  • Predictable coverage of practices, home games, and school athletic events.
  • Minimal travel—spend your time on-site with your athletes, not on a bus.
  • Avoid the heavy Southern California traffic with a reverse commute to a beautiful, community-oriented campus.

True Compensation & Peace of Mind

  • Stable, guaranteed annual salary ($70,500–$78,000 commensurate with experience).
  • Full-time benefits eligibility (Medical, dental, vision, retirement, and more).
  • W-2 employment status—no independent contractor headaches.

Support That Actually Matters

  • Backed by ATvantage leadership—you are a valued professional, never left on an island.
  • True collaboration with supportive local coaches, school staff, and families.
  • Athletic trainers treated strictly as medical professionals, not just sideline coverage.

What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries for high school student-athletes.
  • Cover scheduled on-campus practices, home games, and local athletic events.
  • Design and implement proactive injury prevention programs.
  • Develop clear, safe return-to-play plans in tandem with physicians.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical documentation.
  • Act as the critical communication link between coaches, athletes, and parents.

What We Are Looking For

  • Certified Athletic Trainer (BOC ATC) in good standing.
  • Current CPR/AED certification.
  • Mandated Reporter Training completed (or willing to complete).
  • High school or secondary school experience is preferred, but passionate new grads are welcome!
  • Ability to clear school-required background checks as mandated by California state law.
