Starchild is building the interface for working with AI agents.

Our product brings together chat, automation, tools, memory, workflows, and multimodal creation into one AI-native workspace. We are exploring what happens when agents are not just assistants, but active collaborators that can help people research, build, monitor, create, and operate.

We are looking for people who enjoy building from first principles, moving quickly, and turning messy, open-ended problems into products that feel simple and useful.

About the opportunity:

We are looking for a driven and relationship-oriented Business Development Manager to join Starchild and drive market expansion for our AI products. You'll own the full cycle from lead to close — identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and serving as a core driver of revenue growth in a fast-moving AI startup environment.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Proactively prospect target industries (finance, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, etc.) to identify AI transformation needs and uncover new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain deep relationships with key decision-makers (C-suite / VP), understand their pain points, and translate them into customized AI solutions.
  • Design and execute quarterly/annual business development plans with a focus on high-value client acquisition and retention.
  • Create persuasive proposals, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and articulate Starchild's AI capabilities and differentiation.
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure go-to-market strategies align with client needs.
  • Represent Starchild at AI/tech industry events and conferences to enhance brand recognition.

Who will you be working with?

  • Work directly with senior leadership on business strategy and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate across product, engineering, and marketing teams to align go-to-market execution.
  • Engage with C-level executives and key decision-makers at target client organizations.

What challenges will you face?

  • Navigating complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles with evolving priorities.
  • Translating complex AI/ML technical capabilities into compelling business value for non-technical audiences.
  • Operating in a fast-moving AI market where competitive landscape and client expectations shift rapidly.
  • Balancing strategic pipeline building with hands-on deal execution.

About you:

  • 3+ years in B2B sales / BD / strategic partnerships; AI, SaaS, or tech industry background preferred.
  • Proven track record of closing high-value deals.
  • Understanding of AI/ML/LLM fundamentals; able to communicate technical solutions in business language.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills; comfortable engaging C-level executives.
  • Strong negotiation skills; experienced in contract management.
  • Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce / HubSpot); data-driven in decision-making.
  • Bachelor's degree or above; Business / Marketing / CS related major preferred.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English; able to conduct business negotiations and proposal writing in English.
