Location: Johannesburg (Hybrid-3 days in the office)

Are you passionate about building AI-powered applications that solve real business problems? We are seeking experienced Full Stack AI Engineers to join an exciting AI Transformation initiative and help deliver innovative, secure, and scalable AI solutions.

As a Full Stack AI Engineer, you will design, build, and deliver end-to-end AI applications that transform business processes into intelligent digital products. This role combines modern web development, backend engineering, AI integration, RAG, agentic workflows, automation, and enterprise system integration.

Key Responsibilities

Develop full-stack AI applications from concept through production

Build responsive web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS

Develop backend APIs and services using Python, FastAPI, Node.js, NestJS, or Express

Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG solutions, and AI orchestration frameworks

Create intelligent assistants, copilots, automation tools, and knowledge management solutions

Implement secure authentication, authorization, and enterprise-grade data handling

Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, designers, and platform teams

Build reusable AI components, templates, and engineering standards

Support deployment, testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement of AI products

Technical Skills Required

OAuth, JWT, RBAC, Secure API Design

GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines

Requirements

5+ years of Full Stack Development, Backend Engineering, or AI Application Development experience

2+ years building cloud-based or enterprise digital solutions

Experience integrating APIs and third-party services

Exposure to LLMs, AI Copilots, Chatbots, Intelligent Assistants, or Automation Platforms

Strong understanding of secure application development and agile delivery

Preferred Experience

Fintech, Banking, Payments, Telecoms, or Enterprise Technology environments

Azure ecosystem and AI services

Workflow automation, document processing, and knowledge management solutions

Conversational AI, chat applications, and voice/IVR solutions

Responsible AI and privacy-by-design practices
