Our client is recruiting a Relationship Executive – Factoring
Job purpose
The role of the Relationship Executive – Factoring is to manage the customer relationship and sales ledger of a portfolio of SME’s and Corporate clients, ensure that the client risk is mitigated as per company risk appetite, while assuring good customer service and cross sell company’s products.
Responsibilities
Operations
- Manage an average portfolio of 40+ SME’s and Corporate clients.
- Accurately assess and mitigate the risk(transaction and debtor) through applying relevant techniques when recommending financing for each invoice
- Carry out daily financing process within a maximum of 24h
- Ascertain service continuity through system of alternates and appropriate handing over in case of absence
- Regular one to one meetings with Collections Assistants, follow up of the debt recovery process and resolve problems encountered during debt recovery and sales ledger administrative process
- Carry out variance analysis and implement remedial actions to secure company’s exposure as per set procedures.
- Handling of disputes
- Sales ledger administration
- Processing credit limit applications with the credit insurer _ determine whether recourse or non-recourse factoring
- Day-to-day handling of invoices (cross-checking of invoices, attending to financing requirements, etc)
- Ensure sounding and transaction risks techniques are in conformity with contractual terms , company guidelines while commensurate with evolution of clients invoicing methodology
- Identify and report promptly to the Team Leader Factoring Operations transactions that are not respective of contractual obligations
- Coach and support junior staff in their day to day work
- Enhance production rate and profitability of portfolio through relevant audits submitted to the Team Leader Factoring Operations or Senior Manager Factoring and ensure implementations of decisions taken.
Sales and Service
- Meeting existing clients on regular basis
- Client servicing and assistance to clients post-sales
- Reply to and follow up upon clients requests/complaints and correspondence promptly
- Perform any other cognate duties as may be required within the Business Unit
Profile
- Degree Holder in relevant field
- At least one year experience in a relevant field
